What am I to expect from the PC Club Forums?
Since the bulletin board is real-time, it is impossible for us to confirm or review the validity of
the information being posted. Please remember that PC Club does not actively monitor the contents of,
and are not responsible for, any messages posted. We do not vouch for, or warrant the accuracy,
usefulness, or completeness, of any message. In addition, we are not responsible for the contents of any
message, including those of moderators. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not
necessarily the views of PC Club or their associates. Any information contained in this forum is
delivered “as-is” without any form of warranty expressed or implied. Any use or referral of the
information contained within is strictly at your own risk.
What about technical support?
Although the PC Club forums are a good place to discuss and attempt to resolve technical issues, it
should not be considered a substitute for contacting PC Club through our normal support channel. Your
unique computer configuration or situation may require more personalized technical support in which a PC
Club technician would be able to help you better.
What if I want to complain about something? Isn't this a public forum?
The people who can help you don't necessarily read the forum to help you. Please use the Customer Feedback form if you need to get an issue addressed. This form sends the requests to managers and regional managers of the location or service in question so it can be properly addressed.
It might feel that you need to vent your fustration on the forum, however it is being hosted by PC Club. It is as if you went to someone's house and say bad things about them in front of their guests. It is rude and not allowed. Don't blame us if we delete, remove, lock or ban you for your actions if you do this.
What do I do about a problem post?
Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable or offensive is encouraged to contact us
immediately by sending an email to webmaster@pcclub.com. We have the
ability to remove objectionable messages, and will make every effort to do so within a timely manner if
we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process however, so please understand that we
may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

--The following is also expected when using the PC Club Forums and can also result in account
suspension:--
• No posting of any profanity or anything that alludes to be profanity.
• No posting requests to trade coupons/gift certificates/rebate forms, with other members.
• No Selling and/or offering items for sale.
• No padding your post count with one line posts or other attempts at flooding the forum with

• Do not do anything that could interfere with the viewing of the forum by other members -
including any Java or Java script, MARQUEE or other page altering tags.
--In order to provide you and all of our members with a polite, family friendly community and
useful material we request that you please abide by the following:--
• If you are personally attacked, tell a moderator. DO NOT respond back to the attacker. This is
often what they want and by doing so you are stooping to their level and also risk losing your own
standing not only in the rulebook, but also in the community.
• If you are asking for assistance with a technical question, please provide what steps you have
already taken as well as a list of what hardware you are using. Please use the Search feature before
posting. Often times you will find your question or a similar one has already been answered. This will
help your fellow members to provide the most useful responses.
• If you are engaged in a debate thread, please keep it adult and professional. Personal attacks
WILL NOT be tolerated.
• New members are encouraged to take things slow. It generally takes a few posts for the existing
members to adjust to new members. To facilitate this, it is recommended that new members take their time
and post in existing threads when possible. Alternatively, you might post a thread in the "General
Discussion" forum introducing yourself.
• When posting pictures please try to keep them under 100K file size and less than 600x600 pixels.
This not only makes the forums look better, but it also is more friendly for those on 56K dialup.
• Please make sure your capslock key is disabled. Typing in all caps is the equivilent of
shouting.
• Consider you actions and words and the effect they will have on others.
• Treat others as you would have them to treat you. Believe it or not, it works.
•
• Above all else, USE COMMON SENSE.
